Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience.

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for complex customer problems that span multiple products, workflows, or technical systems. Frame the problem as well as the solution, identify risks and dependencies, and help teams converge on a clear direction.
• Map end-to-end customer journeys across discovery, configuration, integration, operations, governance, troubleshooting, and recovery. Identify where experiences fragment across products and define opportunities to improve continuity.
• Translate customer needs, business goals, technical constraints, and competitive signals into an actionable experience strategy, then carry the work through interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, launch, and post‑launch iteration.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to understand architecture, dependencies, scaling factors, and edge cases. Influence terminology, workflows, defaults, APIs, and abstractions when they affect the customer experience.
• Use research, usability findings, behavioral data, support signals, and product metrics to clarify priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, validate concepts, and improve shipped experiences.
• Apply AI proficiency throughout the design practice to accelerate synthesis, exploration, prototyping, documentation, and analysis. Evaluate and refine AI‑generated outputs while maintaining accountability for customer relevance, accessibility, and quality.
• Present clear recommendations to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners, explain tradeoffs, and build alignment across teams with different priorities and constraints.
• Establish reusable interaction models, frameworks, and standards that improve coherence across AWS experiences. Mentor designers, lead design workstreams, and develop approaches that help other teams work faster without lowering the quality bar.
