Job summary

Amazon OpenSearch Service is seeking a Product Designer III to own end-to-end design for a core OpenSearch experience within Winnow and agentic search. You’ll work with PMs and engineers embedded in builder pods, shaping product decisions, prototyping in real code, and shipping to production.

We value strong research, a portfolio of work, and the ability to craft interfaces for complex data, logs, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design for a core OpenSearch experience—from problem framing to launch and post-launch measurement.
• Define the experience for Winnow/agentic search: expression of intent, agent planning, and trust through provenance.
• Embed in a builder pod: shape what gets built across surfaces, not just visuals.
• Design for complex data: high-volume search, vector/semantic search, dashboards, observability workflows.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
• Contribute to and extend the OpenSearch design system (OUI) for consistency and scalability.
