Job summary

Amazon OpenSearch Service is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience for OpenSearch's core search and observability features. You will work in a builder pod, from framing through production, shipping to production, and measuring impact.

The role emphasizes agentic search, trust-building interfaces, and collaboration with PMs and engineers. You will mentor juniors, contribute to the OUI design system, and push the craft and research standards across the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience.
• Have an available online portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design for a core OpenSearch experience—from framing through launch.
• Define agentic search experience: how intent is expressed, how the agent's planning and reasoning are surfaced, how results earn trust.
• Embed in a builder pod with product and engineering as an end-to-end team.
• Design for complex topics like vector/semantic search, dashboards, observability and alerting.
• Contribute to and extend the OpenSearch design system; mentor colleagues.
