Job summary

Leoforce seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer to drive design, development, and launch of new products. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure products are designed, tested, documented, and released on schedule while transferring knowledge across the organization.

The role emphasizes mechanism/mechatronics design, advanced CAD capabilities, and robust design verification with a strong focus on safety and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 5+ years in mechanism/mechatronics design.
• Experience with FEA, functional safety, automotive or commercial vehicle apps desirable.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to perform design tolerancing and stack-ups.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, verify, and validate designs.

Responsibilities

• Define product design requirements with internal and external customers.
• Design, analyze, debug, verify, validate, and document assemblies.
• Support existing products by evaluating designs for improvements.
• Perform safety analyses at system and subsystem levels.
• Develop and modify mechanical designs with CAD.
• Select materials, coatings, heat treatments matching requirements.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses for fit and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with safety-critical engineering requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and critical characteristics on blueprints.
• Develop DVP test plans aligned with specs.
