Job summary

DSJ Global is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and product development from concept through production, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, solve challenges, lead projects, and balance priorities while delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Experience with PTC Creo and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of product development or mechanical design experience.
• Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical component and system design from concept to production.
• Drive new product development projects and technical decision-making.
• Translate customer and market requirements into engineering solutions.
• Own engineering releases, BOMs, technical documentation, and design reviews.
• Develop designs using PTC Creo and collaborate with suppliers on component validation.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Conduct benchmarking, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional project execution.

• Experience with PTC Creo, FEA, DFMEA, APQP, DFM, and structured problem‑solving methodologies
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes (injection molding, thermoforming, extrusion, blow molding) and metal fabrication processes (stamping, welding, die casting, extrusion)
