Job summary

Leoforce in Flemington, NJ seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and systems. The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, production support, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, with a preference for a PE license and Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within manufacturing.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify mechanical equipment to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
• Develop project specifications from product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Create, review, and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Perform full lifecycle product development from concept to production.
• Ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Operations.
• Monitor and commission plant and systems.
