Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Product Data Analyst for Stock Plan Services in Covington, KY, working onsite. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product leaders, stakeholders, technology teams, operations, and compliance to define and deliver business data solutions that support both product outcomes and technical requirements.
You will help decision makers move from data needs to actionable direction by analyzing business and technology requirements, including data modeling, lineage, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities.
What you will do
- Partner with stakeholders, product managers, and technology leaders to ensure the right data problems are identified and prioritized.
- Work with business and technical teams to analyze and document current system behavior, then define future-state requirements.
- Share insights and recommendations using written, verbal, and visual communication formats.
- Accept ambiguity and synthesize inputs from multiple sources to produce actionable insights.
- Analyze how data moves through job flows to find problem points, inefficiencies, dependencies, and inconsistencies.
- Use dimensional, relational, and unstructured modeling strategies to support data architecture needs.
- Continuously document data lineage, tracing data from origination through consumption.
- Recommend improvements based on data-driven insights and design-oriented modeling approaches.
- Influence and motivate colleagues without formal authority, supporting a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
- Stay current on industry trends and standards across reporting, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Proactively suggest enhancements to data consumption and output methods, technologies, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What you bring
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or product ownership.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Experience with data recordkeeping platforms, reporting systems, and application designs.
- Proficiency with data analytical tools including SQL, Excel, OBIEE, and Power BI.
- Deep understanding of data modeling and structuring.
- Solid experience with data stores including data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
- Experience with data governance and security standards.
- Ability to translate complex data and data requirements into clear narratives that support decision-making.
- Ability to represent data requirements in the context of business priorities for multiple stakeholder groups.
