Job summary

Fidelity Stock Plan Services seeks a Product Data Analyst to partner with product leaders and technology teams to define and deliver data solutions for SPS products. You will analyze data ecosystems, interpret complex datasets, and drive process improvements across the organization.

The role requires collaboration across stakeholders, documentation of data lineage, and the ability to translate data requirements into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years in business analysis, data analysis, or product ownership.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience with data recordkeeping platforms, reporting systems, and application designs.
• Proficiency in data analytical tools (SQL, Excel, OBIEE, Power BI).
• Deep understanding of data modeling and structuring.
• Experience with data stores, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake).
• Experience with data governance and security standards.
• Ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable stories.

Responsibilities

• Engaging stakeholders, product managers, and technology leaders to understand data problems.
• Analyze and document current system behavior and define future state requirements.
• Communicate findings clearly through written, verbal, and visual formats.
• Synthesize information from various sources to form actionable insights.
• Analyze data movement to identify problem points, inefficiencies, dependencies, and inconsistencies.
• Apply dimensional, relational, and unstructured modeling to support data architecture.
• Document data lineage from origination to consumption.
• Recommend improvements based on data-driven insights and design-oriented modeling.
• Influence colleagues and foster a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends in reporting, data analysis, and process optimization.
• Suggest improvements to data consumption methods, technologies, and workflows.
