Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Senior Product Cybersecurity Architect to embed cybersecurity across our autonomous platform. You will work with Compute Platform and Autonomy teams to define security controls and ensure robust cybersecurity throughout the product lifecycle.

The role requires deep knowledge of embedded systems, automotive cybersecurity, and threat modeling, with cross‑functional collaboration across departments. Join the team building secure software for automated trucks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on engineering with safety‑critical, cyber‑physical systems (automotive, aerospace, medical).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices for embedded, automotive, and autonomous systems.
• Must have strong demonstrated working usage of embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR) and embedded networking.
• Proficiency in recognizing software/hardware weaknesses and documenting Threat Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Define and evaluate cybersecurity controls across embedded OS, encryption, access controls, network security, middleware, and secure coding practices.
• Hands‑on knowledge with cybersecurity embedded OS, networking, and cryptographic controls (e.g. securing embedded Linux, QNX, Ethernet, cellular telementics).
• Conduct cross‑functional process activities to define requirements, find design deficiencies, detect defects, verify cybersecurity posture, and secure Torc’s products.
• Collaborate with product teams to embed security into design and development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies and adjust security strategies accordingly.
• Liaise with external security vendors and partners to integrate third‑party security solutions.
• Prepare and present evidence in the cybersecurity case to demonstrate readiness to launch products from a cybersecurity perspective.
• Train internal stakeholders on security practices and provide expert cybersecurity assistance.
