Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Staff Security Product Architect to drive end-to-end security across its autonomous vehicle platform, hardware, and cloud services. You will act as a technical authority, collaborating with Security, System Engineering, and Product teams to ensure robust defense-in-depth security.

The role requires deep expertise in embedded security, cryptography, and secure protocols, with leadership across multiple disciplines and locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in security architecture, system security engineering, or product security.
• BS/MS in CS/CE/EE/Cybersecurity or related STEM field.
• Deep embedded security, hardware anchors (Secure Boot, TrustZone, HSMs, TPMs), cryptography, TLS.

Responsibilities

• Define End-to-End Security Onboard and Offboard Architecture across vehicle hardware and software, secure boot, key management, and cryptographic modules.
• Lead threat modeling and vulnerability analysis for complex autonomous cloud and compute systems.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Software and Hardware teams to translate requirements into designs and assess product risk.
• Engage with hardware/software suppliers and Tier-1 partners to meet security standards.
• Build roadmaps for key security investments and align with cross-functional teams.
• Embed security assurance, governance, and risk mitigation in all lifecycle phases.
