Job summary

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions seeks a Senior Buyer to lead procurement, build strong supplier relationships, and secure best-value materials and services for projects. You will collaborate across engineering, estimating, sales, and operations to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

You will mentor team members, drive process improvements, and help maintain MMFS's high standard of supply chain performance from Seattle headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2+ years in procurement/supply chain.
• Experience with vendor negotiations, contract management, and sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier negotiations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data, assess risk, and make purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Identify and secure best-value suppliers meeting project needs.
• Execute procurement processes in line with SOPs and risk-management strategies.
• Build strong supplier relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and partners.
• Hold suppliers accountable to MMFS standards for quality, pricing, and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, estimating, sales, and PM.
• Communicate proactively with regional and project teams.
• Serve as primary contact for supplier and vendor communications.
• Train and develop team members to strengthen procurement capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
• Drive cost savings while protecting supply chain continuity.
