WhiteWater is seeking a Procurement Project Lead to oversee procurement for major pipeline and facility projects. You will lead supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with project goals.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience in oil & gas or construction procurement. This role is based in Houston, TX and requires on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• This role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and proven procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
• Experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in pipeline/construction.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team; analytical with data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with procurement software; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with contract management and risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement efforts for major pipeline and facility projects; ensure timely, cost-effective acquisitions.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms.
• Monitor budgets and costs; identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks through proactive management.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance to align procurement with goals.
• Conduct market research to identify suppliers and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Prepare reports on procurement status, costs, and risk assessments for management.
