Job summary

Teal Energi is seeking a Project Procurement & Contracts Specialist to support a major power plant project. The role manages commercial and contractual aspects from award through closeout, interfacing with engineering, construction, finance, legal, and suppliers to protect project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has strong contract administration, negotiation, and stakeholder management experience in large capital projects, LNG, EPC, or heavy industrial environments. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in project procurement, contract administration, or related supply chain discipline.
• Experience supporting major capital projects, power generation, LNG, EPC, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience administering purchase orders or subcontracts, evaluating changes, supporting negotiations, and managing post-award issues.
• Experience with invoice review, claims administration, warranties, supplier performance, and contract closeout.

Responsibilities

• Administer purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontracts from award through final closeout.
• Interpret and apply commercial terms, scope, pricing, milestones, and insurance requirements.
• Maintain contract administration plans, logs, registers, trackers, and closeout checklists.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Finance, Legal, Quality, Logistics, and others to resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, or supplier performance.
• Ensure notices, approvals, amendments, and records are properly prepared and retained.
• Maintain auditable procurement and contract records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage change requests from initial notice through final disposition and incorporation.
• Develop negotiation positions and lead commercial negotiations with suppliers or subcontractors.
• Maintain a change order register covering changes, aging, and financial exposure.
• Identify potential scope growth and commercial exposure before work proceeds.
