Job summary

Brightsmith is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to oversee procurement and supply chain activities for a growing portfolio of major energy infrastructure projects in the US. The role collaborates with engineering, construction, finance and commercial teams to align procurement with project requirements and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities include sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, PO lifecycle management, contract changes, and supplier onboarding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across procurement, purchasing, supply chain or project commercial administration.
• Experience supporting capital projects within Oil & Gas, LNG, EPC/EPCM, power generation, industrial construction or energy infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of supplier sourcing, tender processes, purchase order management and commercial purchasing activities.
• Experience coordinating procurement requirements with engineering, construction and project management teams.
• Understanding of supplier agreements, contractual changes, commercial terms and purchasing controls.
• Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP platforms and purchasing approval processes.
• Strong organisational skills, commercial judgement and the ability to manage competing project priorities.
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities across owner and contractor workstreams on major capital projects.
• Manage procurement across major capital projects, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation and purchasing.
• Oversee full purchase order lifecycle from requisition to closeout.
• Coordinate supplier agreements, amendments and changes to pricing, scope or delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships, onboarding, compliance and performance throughout project delivery.
• Work with engineering, construction, finance and commercial teams to align procurement with project requirements.
• Monitor procurement schedules, equipment deliveries, expenditure and commitments; identify risks or delays.
• Maintain procurement records, reporting and documentation; support process improvements.

We are currently supporting a high-growth US energy infrastructure business developing an ambitious portfolio of major power generation projects. As the business continues to scale, it is expanding its procurement and supply chain function to support the delivery of complex capital projects.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to oversee procurement and supply chain activities across a growing portfolio of major energy infrastructure projects.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of procurement coordination and commercial purchasing activities within a growing project delivery environment, working alongside engineering, construction, finance and commercial teams.

The Role:

• Oversee procurement activities across both owner and contractor workstreams on major capital projects.
• Manage procurement activities across major capital projects, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation and purchasing.
• Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, from requisition and approval through delivery, reconciliation and closeout.
• Coordinate supplier agreements, commercial amendments and changes to pricing, scope or delivery requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, onboarding, compliance and performance throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, finance and commercial teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
• Monitor procurement schedules, equipment deliveries, expenditure and outstanding commitments, identifying potential risks or delays.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reporting and documentation while supporting improvements to internal processes and systems.

Experience:
