Job summary

Lancaster County is seeking a Buyer III to perform all facets of county procurement, including IFB, RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes, and to help manage purchase orders and contracts. You will ensure compliance with state and county policies while building strong vendor relationships.

The role requires leadership of the Operations Team, collaboration with county departments, and a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and ethics in purchasing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; minimum four years procurement experience.
• Experience with IFB/RFP/RFQ/RFI preferred.
• Strong contract and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of PA County Code a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workflow of the Operations Team.
• Supervise and evaluate team performance with coaching.
• Assist with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Prepare and review IFB, RFP, RFQ, and RFI documents.
• Liaise with County departments and vendors.
• Oversee contracts and vendor performance.
• Maintain online vendor accounts and multi-county contracts.
• Provide coverage for Mailroom and Courier as needed.
