Augmentis Group is representing a global manufacturer seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer for the Whitehall, MI area. The role focuses on strategic and operational procurement, cost savings, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–10 years of procurement experience, with strong communication and P2P knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field
• 5-10 years of procurement experience, preferably with P2P exposure
• Manufacturing/industrial environment knowledge is a plus
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Data-oriented and able to handle competing priorities and deadlines
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support benchmarking, should-be-cost analysis and business case development
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct related compliance activities
• Develop tools/templates to streamline procurement execution and communication
• Lead negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes with Strategic Buyers
• Coordinate with Financial Shared Services to resolve P2P issues
• Assist buyer/planners and operations staff with PO processing and AP issue resolution
• Interface with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality to resolve cross-functional issues
• Ensure adherence to global procedures and quality standards
• Resolve issues related to direct materials, services, and delivery to support production
