Job summary

Premier Staffing Solution is recruiting a senior Process Safety Engineer (PSM) to support long-term oil & gas projects across Midland, TX. You will lead PSM programs, perform PHAs, MOCs, and risk assessments to reduce process hazards and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in oil & gas, a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to partner with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related Engineering discipline.
• 10-15+ years of oil & gas industry experience (15+ preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of Process Safety Management (PSM) experience in regulated oil and gas facilities.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and risk management procedures.
• Experience in Process Design, Facilities Engineering, or Production Facilities Engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards, engineering practices, and process safety principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) systems at oil and gas facilities.
• Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), risk assessments, and MOC activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate process safety risks.
• Develop and improve safety procedures and engineering controls.
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve facility reliability and safety.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations and company standards.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
