Job summary

Niron Magnetics is scaling a first‑of‑its‑kind manufacturing technology and needs a Process Safety professional to own and mature the PSM program as we move from pilot to Plant 1 in Sartell, MN.

You will connect PHA, MOC, PSSR, training, and audits, build governance, and foster a culture of stop‑work and hazard reporting across multiple sites. Field presence and collaboration with Operations are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of process safety experience in chemical manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and related risk management practices.
• Experience leading PSM program execution with governance and escalation.
• Ability to translate technical findings into accountable actions and documented closure.
• Experience embedding process safety into design, change, startup, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in iPHAs, MOC risk reviews, PSSR, action item development and resolution.
• Support governance for PSM items with clear ownership, aging, closure, and escalation.
• Partner with Operations to ensure readiness, startup, and safe operations.
• Field-verify critical safety controls and ensure training readiness.
