Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for a global manufacturing organization in Florida. The role partners with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS to strengthen process safety initiatives at a large-scale production facility, driving risk reduction and compliance across the site.

You will lead and participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement projects, ensuring safe implementation of changes and training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing or process-driven operations.
  • Familiarity with PSM, risk management, or compliance programs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations or process safety principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting site-wide Process Safety Management (PSM) and risk management initiatives.
  • Partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to identify and reduce operational risks.
  • Leading and participating in process safety reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Supporting evaluation of process changes, new equipment, and operational improvements for safe implementation.
  • Assisting with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Supporting compliance efforts, audits, assessments, and action-item management.
  • Driving accountability for risk-reduction projects and process safety recommendations.
  • Helping develop training programs, procedures, and best practices.
  • Promoting a process safety culture through employee engagement, collaboration, and education.
  • Serving as a key resource for process safety, operational excellence, and risk management initiatives.

A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support and strengthen process safety initiatives at a large-scale production facility. This individual will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to drive risk reduction, improve operational reliability, and support safety and compliance programs across the site.

The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for…

  • Supporting site-wide Process Safety Management (PSM) and risk management initiatives.
  • Partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to identify and reduce operational risks.
  • Leading and participating in process safety reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement projects.

The Process Safety Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or another related technical discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, energy, food production, pulp and paper, or other process-driven operations.
  • Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM), risk management, operational safety, or compliance programs.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, audits, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, process safety principles, or regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
