Job summary
CyberCoders is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead PSM programs in a chemical manufacturing setting, partnering with operations, engineering, maintenance and projects to mitigate risk and maintain compliance.
The role focuses on MOC, PHA, LOPA, risk assessments, and incident investigations, with travel as needed. On-site at a Memphis-area plant, strong communication and cross-functional leadership are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of process safety experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of PSM, HAZOP, LOPA, risk assessment methodologies, and safety instrumented systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve facility PSM systems.
- Manage key process safety programs (MOC, PHA, LOPA, risk assessments).
- Ensure OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance.
- Support capital projects and safer process designs.
- Conduct hazard assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead process safety incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Track safety metrics and report to leadership.
- Develop operating procedures for new or modified processes.
- Train and mentor personnel on process safety.
