Job summary

Niron Magnetics is scaling a first-of-its-kind manufacturing technology and building a robust Process Safety Management (PSM) program for Pilot and Plant 1 in Sartell, MN. This role connects existing PHA, MOC, and PSSR practices to a scalable governance framework, shaping how safety is managed from design through startup and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of process safety experience in chemical manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA PSM, 29 CFR 1910.119, with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate risk findings into actionable items with accountable owners and closure.
• Build governance to track PSM actions, aging items, and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with PSM staff and Operations to ensure field-verification during startup and operations.
• Participate in iPHAs, MOC risk reviews, PSSR, and safeguard discussions.
• Champion a safety-by-design culture and stop-work authority in daily practice.
