- Review the design of semiconductor basebuild facilities, bulk gases, specialty gases, chemical delivery systems, hazardous materials systems, and waste infrastructure.
- Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP, FMEA, What-If Analysis, and other formal risk assessments.
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk-Based Process Safety (RBPS) programs.
- Manage and support Management of Change (MOC) activities for equipment, facilities, processes, procedures, and chemical systems.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and process safety improvement initiatives.
- Conduct detailed engineering design reviews for semiconductor fabrication equipment, facility systems, and chemical processes.
- Review P&IDs, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Identify potential process hazards and recommend appropriate engineering controls, safeguards, interlocks, alarms, ventilation, containment, and hazard mitigation strategies.
- Support tool installation, equipment commissioning, technology transfer, and startup activities.
- Develop and review Safety Release Documents (SRDs), flammability studies, hazard analyses, and process safety documentation.
- Monitor process safety metrics and drive closure of findings from audits, PHAs, HAZOPs, investigations, design reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Maintain technical and regulatory documentation, including vendor information, engineering records, installation packages, safety documentation, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, facilities, operations, equipment, manufacturing, EHS, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and promote a strong process safety and EHS culture across the organization.
