Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in the water/wastewater sector to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on municipal, industrial, and pharma markets with opportunities across multiple offices, including Ann Arbor, MI.

You will lead process evaluations, design efforts, and business development tasks, coordinating with diverse disciplines and managing project scope, budget, and schedules while mentoring staff and collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution; PE encouraged
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 12 months in Minnesota
• Master’s degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform business development and assist in proposals; liaise with clients and manage meetings
• Lead complex water and wastewater design tasks and calculations
• Prepare design basis documents, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Coordinate project scope, budget, staffing, and scheduling with project managers
• Review contractor submittals for conformance to documents and standards
• Support permitting processes and regulatory interactions with agencies
• Mentor and supervise staff; develop high-performing project teams
• Lead preparation of construction documents and construction cost estimates
• Manage multiple projects across municipal, manufacturing, energy, and pharma sectors
