Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with industrial and municipal wastewater experience to join our Water practice. You will support proposals, lead process evaluation, and design efforts across multiple US regions, including project scope, budget, and schedule.

You will collaborate with a broad spectrum of engineers, apply mass/energy balances, P&IDs, and hydraulic calculations, and contribute to business development while ensuring safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 12 years of total experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with ability to obtain PE license in Minnesota within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform business development and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships.
• Client facing for business development contact, meetings, and presentations.
• Prepare scope of work documents and budget estimates.
• Collaborate with multiple business lines to develop opportunities.
• Perform complex engineering design tasks on water and wastewater projects; include design basis documents, mass and energy balances, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead and manage preparation of construction documents including plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
• Coordinate quality assurance/quality control and regulatory interactions; review submittals and permits.
