Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead advanced wastewater treatment design across the United States. You will collaborate with national experts, mentor junior staff, and drive innovative project solutions while engaging with clients and regulatory bodies.

This is a hybrid role, with in-office days across US East regional offices and other locations considered. You will apply your extensive wastewater experience to deliver complex projects, mentor teams, develop proposals, and stay at

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design.
• Ability to lead process engineering for large complex projects and mentor staff.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop and lead staff.
• Business development, proposals experience, and marketing skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities.
• Collaborate with national experts to implement emerging wastewater technologies.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers.
• Assist with technical proposals, crafting process approaches and innovative solutions.
• Conduct complex process modeling (BioWin, Sumo, GPS-X) following best practices.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of design calculations, reports, and drawings.
• Facilitate technical workshops for clients to evaluate process alternatives.
• Support on-site facility startups and troubleshooting; provide feedback to design teams.
• Engage with equipment manufacturers to stay current on technology trends.
• Manage bench-scale and pilot-scale studies; provide scale-up recommendations.
• Develop Multi-Criteria and Life Cycle Cost Analyses for decision making.
• Participate in regional and national professional organizations.
