Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead advanced wastewater treatment design across the United States. You will work with national experts, translate engineering fundamentals into practical solutions, and mentor junior staff while engaging in client relationships.

You will deliver designs for nutrient removal, biosolids management, and efficiency improvements, collaborating with regional managers and client service teams in a hybrid office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and research.
• Ability to lead process engineering for a large complex wastewater treatment project.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to mentor and lead staff.
• Strong business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities, focusing on nutrient removal and biosolids management.
• Collaborate with national experts to implement innovative wastewater technologies on high-profile projects.
• Mentor junior process engineers to ensure growth and project quality.
• Assist with technical proposals, crafting process approaches and innovative solutions.
• Perform complex process modeling (BioWin, Sumo, GPS-X) following best practices.
• Conduct detailed QA/QC reviews of design calculations, reports and drawings.
