Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Process-Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to join our Semiconductor and Advanced Technology Team based in the California Bay Area or Oregon offices. Lead designs for ultrapure water, process cooling water, compressed air, vacuum systems, bulk gas storage, and hazardous wastewater collection and treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional Engineer stamp in Mechanical or Chemical (CA or reciprocity).
• 7+ years of design/construction experience in AEC.
• Experience managing process system design within a consulting firm.
• Proven expertise in semiconductor, microelectronics, R&D, and clean rooms.
• Strong knowledge of Building/Mechanical Codes and NFPA.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit, and MS Office.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design projects in clean rooms, fabrication facilities, microelectronics, labs, and hospitals.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process piping designs.
• Design high-purity water systems, gas storage/distribution, and hazardous wastewater treatment.
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for process equipment.
• Stamp and sign engineering docs for submission to authorities.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide construction administration support including submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
• Lead and develop a team of process engineers.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical Codes.
• Utilize Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Revit for design coordination.
• Drive client satisfaction through project execution.
