Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Process-Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to lead design of critical utilities for semiconductor facilities. Hybrid work requires two in-office days per week in CA or OR, with candidates located in the U.S. and authorized to work full-time.

The role focuses on ultrapure water, process cooling, compressed air, and hazardous wastewater systems, plus leading a team of engineers and coordinating with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering Stamp - Mechanical or Chemical (in CA, or reciprocity in CA) desirable.
• 7+ years of design and construction experience in the AEC industry.
• Experience leading process system design in a consulting/ A/E firm.
• Experience in semiconductor/microelectronics/clean room environments.
• Familiarity with NFPA, Building, Plumbing/Mechanical Codes.
• Proficiency with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design projects in clean rooms, microelectronics labs, and healthcare facilities.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process piping designs.
• Design high-purity water systems and gas storage/distribution systems.
• Prepare technical specs and datasheets for process equipment.
• Stamp and sign engineering documents for regulatory submission.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Mentor and develop a team of process engineers.
