Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Process-Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to join the Semiconductor and Advanced Technology Team in the California Bay Area or Oregon. You will lead design of critical utilities and guide project teams through complex system design.

You will oversee ultrapure water, process cooling water, compressed air, bulk gas storage, and hazardous wastewater systems, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with clients and regulators to ensure quality and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; CA PE license or reciprocity pursued.
• 7+ years of design and construction experience in AEC.
• Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, R&D, and clean room environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of Building and Mechanical Codes, NFPA, and related standards.
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects in clean rooms, fabrication facilities, microelectronics labs, and hospitals.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process piping systems.
• Design high-purity water systems, gas storage and distribution, and hazardous wastewater treatment.
• Prepare specs and datasheets; stamp and sign drawings and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies for compliance.
• Provide construction administration support: submittals, RFIs, site visits.
• Mentor and develop a team of process engineers.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA and Building/Mechanical Codes.
• Utilize Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Revit for design coordination.
• Drive client satisfaction through strong project execution.
