Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Process-Mechanical/Chemical Engineer for the California Bay Area or Oregon offices. You will lead design of utilities like ultrapure water, process cooling water, and gas storage, while mentoring a growing process engineering team.

The role focuses on advanced facility engineering in microelectronics, healthcare, and tech sectors, with a hybrid work model and strong client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer Stamp — Mechanical or Chemical (CA) or reciprocity willingness.
• 7+ years in design and construction within the AEC industry.
• Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, R&D, and clean room environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design projects in clean rooms, fabrication facilities, microelectronics and labs.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process piping designs.
• Design high-purity water systems and gas distribution systems.
• Prepare specs and datasheets for process equipment.
• Stamp and sign drawings and reports for authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators for compliance.
• Provide construction admin support including submittals and RFIs.
• Lead and mentor a team of process engineers.
