Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Process Piping Engineering Lead to join the Semiconductor and Advanced Technology Team in the California Bay Area or Oregon. You will lead a team of process engineers, focusing on technical excellence and innovative system design.

You will design ultrapure water, gas storage, and hazardous wastewater systems, coordinate with clients and regulators, and ensure compliance with Building, Mechanical, NFPA codes while delivering high‑quality projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
PE Stamp – Mechanical or Chemical (CA) or reciprocity.
7+ years in design and construction within the AEC industry.
Experience leading process system design in a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
Proven expertise in semiconductor, microelectronics, R&D and clean room environments.
Strong knowledge of Building/Mechanical Codes and NFPA.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage design projects in clean rooms, fabrication facilities, microelectronics, R&D labs and hospital environments.
Develop PFDs, P&IDs and process piping designs.
Design high-purity water systems, bulk gas storage and distribution, and hazardous wastewater treatment.
Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for process equipment.
Stamp and sign engineering documents for Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies for alignment and compliance.
Provide construction administration support including submittals, RFIs and site visits.
Lead and develop a team of process engineers, providing mentorship.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, Building, Plumbing, Mechanical).
Utilize Navisworks, Bluebeam and Revit for design coordination.
