Job summary
Amcor in Mundelein, IL is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead electrical controls, PLC programming, and advanced process improvements across our flexible packaging operations. You will support project work from development through commercialization, troubleshoot production and quality issues, and drive world‑class manufacturing practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 5–7 years in engineering or process roles in flexible packaging.
- Lean manufacturing training or experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical controls and PLC programming support for manufacturing equipment and process improvements.
- Lead PLC-based troubleshooting for complex production, quality, and downtime issues with Maintenance and Controls.
- Design, modify, and optimize control systems including PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automation hardware.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and OEMs during equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and world-class operations practices across the organization.
- Analyze trial data and reports to guide product development, scale-ups and validations.
