Job summary
Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Illinois is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical and process engineering support for development, commercialization, and continuous improvement of packaging products. You will lead PLC-based troubleshooting, optimize control systems, and collaborate with maintenance, OEMs, and production planning to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–7 years in flexible packaging engineering, Lean
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5–7 years in engineering or process roles in flexible packaging.
- Training in Lean manufacturing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical controls and PLC programming support for manufacturing equipment and new product commercialization.
- Lead PLC-based troubleshooting for production, quality, and downtime issues with Maintenance and Controls teams.
- Design, modify, and optimize control systems, including PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automation hardware.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and OEMs during installations, upgrades, and commissioning to ensure safety and process requirements.
- Support Environmental Health & Safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement across operations.
