Placements24 client seeks a Senior Process Engineer to optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes in Welkom, Free State. You will design, validate, and implement new technologies to boost yield, efficiency, and product quality while ensuring GMP compliance.

Key duties include leading scale-up initiatives, writing technical documentation, and delivering training to the operations team. Strong collaboration with QA, R&D, and maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of pharmaceutical/process engineering experience.
• Experience in scale-up, validation, and optimization.
• Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations.
• Strong documentation and project management skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Welkom, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and optimization initiatives for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Design, specify, and implement new process equipment and technologies.
• Develop and execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols for equipment and processes.
• Analyze process data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure GMP and safety regulatory compliance across processes.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, R&D, and Maintenance teams.
• Deliver training to staff on new processes and equipment.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
