Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Line Lead for a key pharmaceutical production line at our Welkom facility. The role involves hands-on supervision of operators, ensuring GMP compliance, and driving efficiency and quality across daily production tasks.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in pharma manufacturing, with supervisory experience, and a strong grasp of GMP, regulatory requirements, and aseptic processes.

Qualifications

• Requires Matric or equivalent and a relevant diploma; advantageous to have Pharmaceutical Technology credentials.
• 3+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with supervisory exp.
• Solid understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements in pharma.
• Experience with aseptic or sterile manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operators on a designated pharmaceutical production line.
• Ensure production activities comply with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Train new team members on processes, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch records, and equipment logs.
• Conduct regular safety checks and enforce EHS policies.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance and engineering to resolve issues.
• Participate in process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Operate and maintain specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Report line performance and achievements to the Production Supervisor.
