Job summary

BW Design Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Sr. Process Engineer to lead pharma/biologics process systems design on capital projects. You will develop PFDs/HPW systems, size equipment, and coordinate CAD efforts with vendors and clients, ensuring GMP compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biologics process system engineering/design experience.
• Knowledge of CIP/SIP, washers, autoclaves, lyophilizers, and WFI/RODI systems.
• Experience with process design from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborative, client-facing roles with GMP requirements.
• Familiar with equipment sizing and CAD coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and implement solutions for clients.
• Lead process mechanical design within multi-discipline project teams.
• Develop PFDs, energy and mass balances, and equipment specs.
• Interface with OEMs/vendors for sizing and selection.
• Direct CAD designers and coordinate with controls/utility groups.
• Provide onsite support during testing, start-up, commissioning, and qualification.
• Assist with proposals for engineering/design services and completed solutions.
• Stay updated on GMPs and emerging technologies.
