Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller BW Design Group is seeking a Department Manager, Process in the United States to lead advanced process engineering for cGMP and life sciences projects. You will guide a team of engineers and designers, develop client-ready solutions, and ensure quality through rigorous reviews, while coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver compliant, state-of-the-art manufacturing process designs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of process engineering design in regulated manufacturing (cGMP/FDA).
• 2+ years as a process engineering design manager.
• Experience designing for life sciences industries.
• Able to present process designs to clients and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead a process design team.
• Subject matter knowledge of cGMP regs and standards.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct process design activities: descriptions, P&IDs, and flow diagrams.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Ensure quality through rigorous project QA reviews and client-ready drawings.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and coordinate field visits to verify on-site progress.
• Engage with clients to present capabilities and develop full-scope technical solutions.
• Build cross-practice relationships to deliver cohesive, compliant solutions across facilities.
