Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks a Department Manager, Process to lead and grow a team of engineers delivering compliant process solutions for life sciences and manufacturing clients. You will design processes, P&IDs, and documentation while ensuring quality and regulatory alignment.

You will manage client expectations, develop technical proposals, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to provide integrated, world-class solutions that align with BW’s culture and growth goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ process engineering design in cGMP, FDA, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years’ experience as a process engineering design manager preferred.
• Experience developing process engineering designs for the life sciences industry is required.
• Demonstrated ability to present process designs to existing and new clients.
• Subject Matter Expert knowledge of cGMP regulations and standards preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Direct process design activities (including process descriptions, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs).
• Lead a team of process engineers and designers to successfully execute projects that meet cGMP, FDA and other regulatory standards and requirements.
• Review drawings for client and project needs; review submittals, RFIs, and direct field visits to verify onsite work.
• Build relationships with the greater practice and market sector professionals to deliver integrated solutions across facility, utility, process, automation, and construction management teams.
