Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller’s BW Design Group is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to lead pharmaceutical and biologics process system projects. You will work in teams with experts to deliver high-quality solutions across GMP environments, including aseptic and sterile operations.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, quality and validation teams, and guide CAD designers while ensuring regulatory compliance and project success. This role involves travel to client sites and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical and biologics process system engineering/design experience.
• Knowledge and design experience including CIP/SIP, support equipment and High Purity Water systems (WFI/RODI).
• Working knowledge of process definition means and methods.
• Experience with FDA and EMA regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and implement solutions for clients.
• Lead process mechanical design in multi-discipline teams.
• Develop PFDs, energy/mass balances, equipment sizing, BOMs and specs.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality and Validation.
• Direct CAD designers and facilitate design coordination with controls/automation.
• Provide onsite support during testing, start-up, qualification.
• Prepare proposals and scopes of work for engineering/services.
• Stay current with GMP and emerging technologies.
• Travel as required for project work and client meetings.
