Job summary

SSOE Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Process Engineer and Office Leader to shape process utility infrastructure for advanced semiconductor facilities. You will lead and mentor internal teams, partner with clients, and drive performance in a design-build environment using UPW, gas, and chemical distribution systems.

This role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred; active US PE in good standing with ability to obtain reciprocity is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering design and planning for large-scale advanced high-tech and semiconductor projects.
• Provide day-to-day oversight to internal project teams and ensure high-quality design documents (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs).
• Lead and support the design of UPW, gas distribution, and chemical distribution systems.
• Develop and oversee detailed hydraulic calculations and pipe stress analyses.
• Guide cross-discipline collaboration to ensure constructability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with codes, standards, and industry practices.
• Develop and maintain process engineering standards, master specs, and documentation templates.
• Lead peer reviews, QA/QC checks, and maintain design integrity across projects.
• Support business development, client relations, and industry representation.
