Job summary

Primoris Pipeline is seeking a senior Process Engineer for our Houston office, focusing on onshore oil & gas transport projects across upstream, midstream, and petrochemical markets. The role emphasizes facilities and pipelines, including pump stations, compressor stations, CO2 capture facilities, tank farms, and terminals.

The position involves developing design basis, heat and material balances, PFDs/P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and interfacing with the design team to ensure code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Petroleum or related degree with applicable experience.
• Experience working closely with designers.
• In-office participation is required.
• Excellent communication skills, client interfacing may be required.
• 7+ years of midstream facilities or pipelines in the US; travel optional.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, CFR/DOT, and API standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Process Basis of Design and heat and material balances.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, PSV/relief calculations, and flare studies.
• Perform hydraulic simulations, surge analysis, and flow assurance studies.
• Prepare equipment specs, datasheets, and RFQ packages for packaged equipment.
• Interface with design and project management teams; support QA/QC and commissioning.
