Primoris Pipeline, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead process design for onshore oil & gas projects. You will develop the Process Basis of Design, perform heat and material balances, and drive PFD/P&ID development and line lists with cross-discipline teams.

Responsibilities include PSV/relief calculations, flare studies, hydraulic surge analysis, and flow-forecasting using steady state and transient simulations. Strong communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience with midstream facilities or pipelines.
  • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs and line lists.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, CFR/DOT regulations and API standards.
  • Strong client interfacing and communication abilities.

Job Overview:Primoris Engineering is currently seeking a senior-level Process Engineer for our Engineering office in Houston, Texas, which focuses on onshore oil & gas transportation projects in the upstream, midstream, and petrochemical markets.Our core focus is Facilities and Pipelines, including Pump Stations, Compressor Stations, CO2 Capture Facilities, Tank Farms, Terminals (Loading/Unloading Truck, Rail, Marine), Pipeline Facilities (Traps, valve sites, meter sites, tie-ins, etc.), Upstream production pads, gathering pipelines and tank batteries.Job Responsibilities:Develop the Process Basis of DesignPrepare Heat and Material Balance for the projectProcess Flow and P&ID DevelopmentPrepare the Line ListPSV/relief calculationsFlare StudyHydraulic Simulation and Surge Analysis- Flow assurance calculations for steady state and transient piping systems.Operational PhilosophyPrepare mark ups of PFDs and P&IDs.Ensure project is in compliance with applicable codes and client standards.Interface with Design team- PFD/P&ID development, 30/60/90 Model Reviews, IFR and IFC development, cross-discipline checkingEquipment specification and datasheets for procurementRotating and Static Equipment- Sizing Calculations for specialty items. For Packaged equipment: prepare RFQ packages on Mechanical equipment including Datasheets and specifications, Technical Bid Evaluations, Vendor Drawing reviews, interface with equipment vendors, provide clarifications for vendors, review/approve vendor drawingsInterface with the Project Management team and provide progressing, scheduling and budgeting supportReview and QA/QC all Process deliverablesConstruction commissioning support may be requiredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
