Job summary

Primoris Pipeline is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Houston, TX. The role focuses on onshore oil and gas transport projects in upstream, midstream, and petrochemical markets, with emphasis on facilities and pipelines, pump stations, and tank farms.

The candidate will develop design bases, perform heat and material balances, conduct flow simulations, and prepare equipment specifications. In-office collaboration and client interfacing are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; related degrees with applicable experience accepted.
• Experience collaborating with designers and strong in-office communication is required.
• 5+ years of experience with midstream facilities or pipelines in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Process Basis of Design.
• Prepare Heat and Material Balance for the project.
• Process Flow and P&ID Development.
• Prepare the Line List.
• PSV/relief calculations.
• Hydraulic Simulation and Surge Analysis for piping systems.
• Interface with Design team for PFD/P&ID development and reviews.
• Equipment specifications and datasheets for procurement.
• Support project management with scheduling and budgeting.
• QA/QC of Process deliverables.
