Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5 - 10 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Green Belt certification is required or needs to be gained within 2 years from hire date.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments / projects.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn, receive, and provide coaching.
• Demonstrated history of operating with sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership in process control, troubleshooting, cost (yield and labor efficiency) improvement, product quality improvement, cycle time reduction, and product and process development.
• Investigation and proposal of new production equipment, procedures, and methods to automate, improve and/or scale-up existing processes.
• Work with operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, T&I, and production planning to accomplish these tasks.
• Lead and collaborate with other engineers for complaint resolution activities including root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions for any complaints for the assigned area.
• Provide manufacturing capability information and improvement opportunities to product management teams to improve product margins.
• Support efforts to identify, prioritize, and determine business impact of strategic and tactical process improvement initiatives.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.
