Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and oversee manufacturing processes across product lines. You will ensure processes reflect production practices, maintain cost effectiveness, and meet quality specifications.

You will work with quality control to resolve issues, leverage statistics for cost/yield improvements, and support customers with technical requirements. The role requires Engineering in Metallurgy or Materials Science with 3–5 years in metals manufacturing; TMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical engineering or Materials Science is required or preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in metals manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience with Thermo-Mechanical Process (TMP) such as rolling or forging preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing / Green Belt experience preferred.
• SAP experience a plus; CAD experience preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Export license eligibility may apply to this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and oversee manufacturing process for respective product line, including OPCs, Routes & BOMs.
• Collaborate with quality control to resolve nonconforming materials and perform root cause investigations.
• Apply statistics and engineering principles to evaluate and improve processing costs and yields.
• Provide technical support to customers to define product/process requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks and devise cost-effective improvements in equipment and methods.
• Provide process-related training to production, quality, and metallurgical lab staff.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to communicate technical know-how of products and processes.
