Job summary

Materion Corporation in the United States is seeking a Process Engineer II who will provide engineering support and leadership in process control, cycle time reduction, quality improvement, and scale-up of manufacturing processes. The role requires collaboration with operators, maintenance, quality, R&D, and production planning to accomplish initiatives.

You will contribute to safety, process control, and continuous improvement projects, and may explore new equipment and automation opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple moderately complex assignments / projects.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn, receive, and provide coaching.
• Demonstrated history of operating with sense of urgency and accountability.
• Green Belt or Black Belt experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Quality Management System: Comply with EH&S and quality programs, trainings, and policies.
• Process Control & Continuous Improvement: Oversee manufacture of quality product using SPC and SOPs; monitor and interpret metrics; support or lead project teams to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
• Machine Maintenance & Reliability: Gain knowledge of processing equipment and support breakdowns to maintain quality and throughput.
• Product & Process Development: Collaborate with Product Development to implement MO, BOMs, process steps and SOPs.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.
