Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer II to provide engineering support and leadership in process control, troubleshooting, and cost/performance improvements across manufacturing operations in New York. You will partner with operators, maintenance, quality, and R&D to scale processes and drive yield and cycle-time reductions.

Responsibilities include implementing SPC, maintaining SOPs, analyzing metrics, leading improvement projects, and supporting equipment automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Comply with EH&S and quality programs and policies.
• Oversee manufacture of quality product using SPC and SOPs.
• Determine and monitor critical process metrics; interpret data.
• Lead or support project teams to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Maintain communications with operators and engineers about equipment status and improvements.
