Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, part of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Valley Green, PA. You will lead assembly process development, implement automated and lean improvements, and drive cost, quality, and capacity goals within the HSIO Connector Engineering team.

Requires a technical degree with 5+ years in process engineering, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and experience in DFMs, PFMEA, and DOEs; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years in process engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical journals and procedures.
• Ability to write reports, business communications and manuals.
• Ability to present information to managers and customers globally.
• Strong math skills including probability, statistics, geometry and trig.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD (Solidworks/Pro-Engineer), GD&T and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage all technical and process control aspects for assemblies.
• Develop automated processes and drive lean improvements (SMED/TPM).
• Assist with costing, capital, and capacity for new products or changes.
• Prepare PFMEA, Process Qualification Plans, Control Plans and DOEs.
• Develop process sheets, procedures, BOMs, and maintenance plans.
• Provide training and support to production and personnel.
• Coordinate with vendors on prototypes, tooling and equipment.
• Support capacity planning, takt time, line balance and layouts.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
