Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Valley Green, PA. You will lead assembly process development, apply lean tools, and drive CAPEX and tooling projects for high-volume connectors and cable assemblies.

You will collaborate across engineering and production to ensure quality, delivery and cost targets, using PFMEA, DOE and qualification plans while supporting improvements in safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least five years of current experience in a process engineering role.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers worldwide.
• Proficiency in probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for assembly processes from concept to functional assemblies.
• Create automated processes and monitor improvements in quality, safety, cost and efficiency.
• Assist with costing, capital and capacity projections for financial justifications.
• Develop process qualification plans, PFMEA, DOE, and work standards.
• Define tooling, fixtures and equipment for new or improved cable assembly processes.
• Coordinate with vendors for prototype samples and tooling.
• Document assembly processes, work instructions and maintenance plans.
• Provide training and support to production personnel.
• Collaborate with operations on capacity, takt time and line balance.
