Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to research, develop, and optimize semiconductor deposition processes including ALD, PEALD, Epitaxy, and PECVD for logic, memory, analog, power, and MEMS devices.

You will design experiments, analyze results, and contribute to IP and publications while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Some travel and potential supervision may be involved.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates 0–2 years or Spring/Fall 2026 grads.
• Experience with ALD, CVD, Epitaxy, PECVD and related thin-film deposition.
• Experience with materials characterization techniques (XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRR, XRD, TEM, SEM and ellipsometry).
• Knowledge of CMOS device electrical characterization techniques.
• Strong communication and ability to publish IP.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and optimize unit processes for ALD, PEALD, Epitaxy, PECVD.
• Design and conduct experiments and DOE/RSM analyses.
• Troubleshoot equipment and work hands-on.
• Collaborate with customers and marketing to document demonstrations.
• Produce technical papers and IP.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Potential supervisory duties over technicians.
